Tierwald

Design Research

Tierwald is a new landscape of buildings set deep within a constructed forest in Berlin’s Tiergarten. The fragmented architectures are mostly public space for gathering, but provide facilities where scenographic proposals for the city are designed, built, tested, performed and stored. A hybrid set of programmes exist in the interstice between sunrise and sunset, where light is the casting medium, creating perceptive environments that perform in a state of shadow.
